Vinyl Silane: Crosile® 151, Crosile® 171, Crosile® 172, Crosile® 173
Polyolefin adhesion promoter Silane coupling agent
Product Introduction
Crosile® 171 Vinyltrimethoxysilane is a versatile compound that can be used to modify various polymers. It is particularly suitable for the production of cross-linked polyethylene pipes, tubes, and films, as well as external coatings for long-distance oil and gas pipelines. When used as a crosslinking agent, it enhances the mechanical strength and electrical properties of copolymers such as ethylene vinyl acetate, chlorinated polyethylene, and ethylene ethyl acrylate.
In addition, Crosile® 171 is highly effective as an adhesion promoter for glass fibers and silicon-containing inorganic fillers. It improves the wettability and adhesion between the resin and the fiber, resulting in increased mechanical strength and electrical properties, especially in wet conditions. Furthermore, it enhances the weather resistance, water resistance, heat resistance, and electromagnetic wave transmission performance of FRP.
Crosile® 171 can also be copolymerized with oleic acid series monomers to produce special coatings with excellent weather resistance, dustproofing, and wiping properties.
Crosile® 172 Vinyl tris(2-methoxyethoxy) silane is a vinyl functional coupling agent that is highly effective in promoting the adhesion of unsaturated polyester resins or cross-linked polyethylene resins or elastomers with inorganic substrates such as glass fibers, silicon, oxidative double bonds between silicates, and many metal oxides. Its use as a coupling agent reduces the sensitivity of the product's mechanical and electrical properties to heat and/or moisture.
Crosile® 172 is widely used as an adhesion promoter for various mineral-filled polymers, improving their mechanical and electrical properties, especially after exposure to moisture. It can also be used as a comonomer in the preparation of various polymers, such as polyethylene or acrylic resins, which show improved adhesion to inorganic surfaces and can crosslink with moisture. Additionally, it improves the compatibility of fillers with polymers, resulting in better dispersion, lower melt viscosity, and easier processing of filled plastics.
Furthermore, Crosile® 172 can be used to pretreat glass, metal, or ceramic surfaces to improve the adhesion and corrosion resistance of surface coatings.
