Application
Crosile®1120 is used as a primer for application to inorganic substrates (e.g. metal or glass surfaces) in the form of an aqueous or organic solution. Once Crosile®1120 is dry and adhered to the surface, the organic coating can be applied using standard techniques such as spraying or knife coating.
Crosile®1120 is mainly used as a surface modifier for glass fibers, fiberglass fabrics, fillers (such as glass or mineral wool, mica, talc, wollastonite, kaolin, cristobalite, metal oxides) and pigments, including epoxy Resins, polyamides, polyacrylates, polyurethanes, ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymers, and the like.
Other important applications include use as an adhesion promoter for abrasives and insulating materials in polysulfide and phenolic resins, and as a primer for sealants, adhesives and coatings.
