Silane Coupling Agent Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane Crosile970 C6H16O2SSi
Chemical Properties
3-Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane Crosile® 970 is used as a coupling agent to improve the resistance of vulcanized elastomers (polysulfides, polyurethane sealants) to inorganic fillers (such as silica, glass, clay, mica), glass fiber and surface adhesion.
3-Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane Crosile® 970 can also be used as a mineral pretreatment or added at the time of compounding to improve the low rolling resistance of silica-reinforced tire tread compounds.

Application
3-Mercaptopropylmethyldimethoxysilane Crosile® 970 can be used as a coupling agent to improve the resistance of vulcanized elastomers (polysulfides, polyurethane sealants) to inorganic fillers such as silica, clay, glass, mica and talc, etc.), glass fibers and surface adhesion.
Mineral-reinforced products such as shoe soles, rubber rollers and wheels, white sidewalls, and wire and cable insulation can also be produced with lower silane content.
Used to improve the properties of mineral-filled elastomers, including modulus, tensile and tear strength, heat generation, abrasion resistance, resilience, compression set, and cure time.
Used as a pretreatment of minerals or added during compounding.
For improving the low rolling resistance of silica-reinforced tire tread compounds.
