Silane Coupling Agent Crosile®69 Bis(3-triethoxysilylpropyl)tetrasulfide in Rubber Industry
Type
Crosile®69
Chemical Properties
Silane coupling agent Crosile®69 Bis[3-(triethoxysilyl)propyl]tetrasulfide (TESPTS) is commonly used as a crosslinking agent and reinforcing filler in rubber manufacturing. TESPT films provide corrosion protection to metal substrates. It is also used as a precursor for the synthesis of mesoporous silicones.
Equivalent Type
Silane coupling agent Si 69 (Evonik), Z-6940(Dow Corning), A-1289 (Momentive), KBE-846 (Shin- Etsu), TESPT

Application
Crosile®69 is used in rubber products:
1) As a coupling agent for non-black fillers;
2) To maintain the vulcanization balance and increase the anti-sulfur return ability;
3) As a vulcanizing agent, it gives it good heat aging properties.
