Application
- Crosile® 570 finds primary usage in enhancing the mechanical, electrical, and optical properties of unsaturated polyester composite materials, particularly significantly improving their moisture resistance.
- When employed in glass fiber reinforcement, Crosile® 570 enhances the wet mechanical and electrical properties of the composite material through impregnation treatment using this silane coupling agent.
- In the wire and cable industry, Crosile® 570 improves consumption factor and specific inductance capacitance when treating EPDM systems containing pottery clay and crosslinked with peroxide.
- Crosile® 570 can be polymerized with vinyl acetate and acrylic acid or methyl acrylic acid monomer, which are commonly used in coatings, adhesives, and sealants, providing exceptional adhesion and durability.
- Crosile® 570 is also applicable for engineered quartz in various manufacturing processes, and it plays a utility role in the production of intermediate products such as unsaturated polyester, ethylene-propylene copolymer, polystyrene, ABS, polyurethane, polybutadiene, and peroxide-crosslinked polyethylene. By modifying with a silane coupling agent, it reinforces the bending strength of artificial marble and reduces production costs.
Glass Fiber Soakage Agent
The treatment of glass fiber involves the use of a soakage agent comprising film formers, lubricants, antistatic agents, silane coupling agents, and water, among other components. The concentration of the silane coupling agent Crosile® 570 should range from 0.3% to 0.6%.
Electrical Wire and Cable
When incorporated into electrical wires and cables, Crosile® 570 significantly enhances their mechanical and electrical properties. When used with clay, Crosile® 570considerably improves the consumption factor, inductance, and capacitive reactance of EPDM systems crosslinked with peroxide and filled with clay. Crosile® 570 outperforms vinyl silane by 2.5 times when used in the same dosage.
Filler Treatment
Silane Crosile® 570 compound effectively strengthens polyester composite materials made from various fillers such as white carbon black, glass, and silicate.
Adhesive and Coating
In acrylic resin and polyester adhesives, Crosile® 570 improves water resistance, adhesion stress with inorganic materials, and lowers solidification value.
