Rubber Grade Precipitated White Powder Silica
Chemical Properties
Precipitated silica, a form of synthetic amorphous silicon dioxide, is derived from quartz sand, a crystalline form of silicon dioxide. The physical properties of precipitated silica can be manipulated during the manufacturing process to deliver products with a wide range of performance-enhancing features engineered for many different end-use applications.
- Efficient rheology control in a wide range of simple and complex liquid systems. Imparts viscosity, pseudoplasticity and thixotropy. Stabilises pigments and prevents sagging.
- Provides effective free flow and anti-caking behaviour. Can be used as a solid carrier for liquids.
- Improves mechanical and optical properties of silicone rubber.
- Improves anti-corrosion performance of protective and marine coatings. Reduces moistures sensitivity and increases hydrophobicity.

Application
- Precipitated Silica White are mainly used in Shoe making, Rubber Roller and Tyre industries.
- Precipitated Silica White possesses a high reinforcing potential and imparts to rubber compounds particularly high Shore hardness, tensile strength, tear resistance and abrasion resistance. In order to achieve optimum rubber-technical data the addition of activators like glycols, amines or other alkaline accelerators is necessary
