Glycerol Rosin Resin Ester Versatile Tackifying Resin
Excellent initial adhesion in pressure Sensitive Adhesives
Lower softening point
Product Name
Gum Rosin Glycerol Ester, Glycerol Ester of Gum Rosin, Ester Gum, GEGR
Chemical Properties
Glycerol Rosin Resin Ester is a slightly yellow or water-white transparent solid that is produced by esterifying gum rosin or refined gum rosin with glycerol. This results in a good tackifying resin that is commonly used in various industries.
One industry grade of this material is Glyceryl Rosinate, also known as Glycerol Ester of Gum Rosin (GEGR), which is used in specialty industries such as hot melt adhesives, pressure sensitive adhesives, adhesive tapes, cosmetics and depilatory waxes. It is also widely used in polymers including EVA, acrylics, polyurethanes, SIS, and SBS, where it can improve the adhesion and mechanical properties of these materials.

Application
Gum Rosin has excellent initial adhesion in pressure-sensitive adhesives and a lower softening point than other similar materials. This makes it a popular choice for use in self-adhesive products and as a low-cost enhancer for hot-melt, pressure-sensitive, and other types of adhesives.
Gum Rosin and Glyceryl Rosinate are versatile materials that are widely used in various industries due to their excellent tackifying and adhesive properties, as well as their ability to improve the performance of polymers and other materials.
