C5 petroleum resin is widely used in rubber, adhesive, road marking paint, paper making and other industrial fields.

1 Application in adhesives

4 Applications in the paper industry

 The sizing agent used in the papermaking process can be replaced by C5 petroleum resin instead of rosin resin. Paper made with sizing agent added with petroleum resin is not suitable for bubbles, and is relatively smooth and easy to print. However, maleic anhydride should be added when the sizing agent is prepared from petroleum resin, and the carboxyl group is introduced through addition reaction to achieve the purpose of modifying it.
